Vision

Optical Class 1 Face Shield Technology
Every helmet in the APEX Series is equipped with our state-of-the-art, Optical Class 1 Shield. Unlike typical shields that could distort vision because of their uniform thickness across a curved lens, the APEX Series Optical Class 1 shield features varied thicknesses throughout the lens which enhances visual accuracy, reduces glare, and prevents distortion. Additionally, its specially designed shape was developed to improve aerodynamics and reduce wind noise during rides.

Ellip-Tec™ Ratchet System
ScorpionEXO®’s ratchet system uses an elliptical motion that pulls the shield securely against the eye port, ensuring a proper seal. The Ellip-Tec ratchet system allows for 100% tool-less shield changing in a matter of seconds. Each helmet in the APEX Series incorporates an upgraded Ratchet System, assuring the shield not only fastens and seals, but locks in place with a central locking mechanism.

Vent Tech Ventilation System
Re-imagining helmet engineering, the Vent Tech Ventilation System incorporates strategically placed internal passages that connect the vent openings on the helmet’s shell to internal channels within the EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) core. This strategic engineering creates a dynamic venturi effect, creating a seamless flow of refreshing outside air through the helmet, while efficiently pulling out hot air through the exhaust ports.

Traditionally, more ventilation often translates to increased wind noise. However, ScorpionEXO’s engineering team has fine-tuned the design process to strike the perfect balance between maximum airflow and minimal noise disruption. Ingeniously placed foam inserts work together to dampen noise while pulling in fresh air.

Even the Comfort Liner plays a crucial role in this innovative ventilation system. Featuring strategically positioned mesh and perforations, it ensures your head stays comfortably cool, even in demanding conditions.

Noise Reduction: The cheek pads incorporate a noise reduction flap on each side of the helmet, which attaches to the main cheek pad. This secondary flap effectively blocks incoming air, significantly reducing wind noise within the helmet.

Adjustable Spoiler Technology
Both the face shield and rear spoiler have been redesigned based on Vortex Generator principles to improve airflow, reduce drag, and minimize turbulence. A reinforced locking mechanism ensures a tight wind seal for greater stability and quiet performance, even during extreme rides. One of the most advanced features of the EXO-Warp is its adjustable rear spoiler. This component extends to increase down force and high-speed stability during aggressive riding, then retracts for a streamlined shape that reduces drag in casual or urban settings. It provides versatile aerodynamic control, allowing riders to adapt instantly to any condition.
